Movies always have the coolest and craziest things happening, but are they always realistic? Well, grab your fuzzy blankets, popcorn, and get ready to kick back your feet, because Oak Ridge Institute for Science & Education wants you to watch a movie and find out! We are asking that you pick a scene from a film and research the science behind it. You can then explain whether this scene is scientifically possible or not for a chance to win an awesome prize! TWELVE prizes will be awarded with three winners per grade band. Click here for more info.  Prizes for this competition are:

6th-8th grade:

  • 32GB 8th Generation iPad
  • Sphero Mini
  • 2nd Generation Apple Pen

Want free money for college?  Check out the scholarships located on our MMS library webpage.

Chromebooks:
(1) Students are to charge Chromebook devices each night, fully charged, ready to go each morning.
(2) Tech is available every day during designated times located on the library door either in the library or in Mr. Hamilton's room.
(3)  If your Chromebook needs repair, you must turn it your power cord with the device.

Parents or guardians must complete the 2021-2022 Chromebook agreement in order for their student to receive a Chromebook.  The agreement is online this year.  There is no Chromebook fee for this 2021-2022 school year.  The Chromebook fee was paid for by the ESSER funds received from the state.

A note from Nurse Garren:  Good morning!  Per OSHA guidelines, everyone who enters the clinic, teacher or student must wear a mask. Whether they are healthy or not. Even if they are just coming in to take their medications.

Each homeroom collects Coke bottle caps & Little Caesar's proof of purchase tab (located on the box).  Students can bring them any time to the school (homeroom teacher).  It helps us buy supplies for learning activities.  Also, parents can download the Box Top for Education app & scan their receipts in.  The Box Top app sends money directly to MMS.  Thank you for your support!
