Welcome!

Hello!  My name is Tia Patton and I teach art at Madisonville Middle School.  I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary (K-8)  education with a minor in English at Tennessee Wesleyan.  I later earned my endorsement in art education taking classes through Pellissippi State, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Lee University.  I have also completed my Master's degree in Reading Education with a Reading Specialist license through Carson Newman.  

 

I am married to my husband, Steven,  who is also a teacher.   We have two children and a daughter in law, Hunter who graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan with a degree in biology.  He works for the United States Forest Service.  His wife, Amber, also works for Monroe County Schools.  Our daughter, Cadence, is attending Tennessee Wesleyan University majoring in Biology.   We love spending time together as a family!  I love to read, watch tv, traveling to new places, and trying new restaurants.  I'm so excited to have each of you in my class this year!
