Welcome!
Hello! My name is Tia Patton and I teach art at Madisonville Middle School. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary (K-8) education with a minor in English at Tennessee Wesleyan. I later earned my endorsement in art education taking classes through Pellissippi State, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Lee University. I have also completed my Master's degree in Reading Education with a Reading Specialist license through Carson Newman.
I am married to my husband, Steven, who is also a teacher. We have two children, Hunter who graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan with a degree in biology. He works for the United States Forest Service. Our daughter, Cadence, is a junior in high school. We also have a dog, a bluetick named Tod. We love spending time together as a family! I love to read, watch tv, traveling to new places, and trying new restaurants. I'm so excited to have each of you in my class this year! I know it's also going to be a lot of fun.
