About Mr. McCrary

Welcome!

 

My name is Matthew McCrary and I was born and raised in North Carolina and then moved to Tennessee after graduating. I currently teach 6, 7, and 8th grade bands at MMS. I started at MMS in 2023 as the Music Teacher after graduating from Western Carolina University (WCU) with a Bachelors in Music, Bachelors in Education, Minor in Business Administration, and Minor in Leadership. 

 

At WCU I had the pleasure of participating in the Marching Band Including performances at Bands of America's Super Regionals in Bank of America's "The Dome" in St. Louis, MO and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, NY. I also participated in the WCU Trombone Ensemble, which had the honor of participating in the International Trombone Festival (ITF) at Ball State University. Finally, I performed with the WCU Concert band, Symphonic band, and Community Orchestra throughout my time at WCU.
